How to use the Verb Generator

Match the verb to the action

“Led” and “Launched” are not interchangeable. Pick the category that matches what you actually did.

Lead every bullet with a verb

Past tense for past roles, present tense for your current role. Never start with “I” or “Responsible for”.

Add the result

Verb + what + outcome. “Cut onboarding time 30%” beats “was responsible for onboarding”.

Copy and drop into your bullets

Use the copy button, then paste into the Resume Builder’s experience lines.

Don’t reuse the same verb

Three “managed” in a row reads flat. Vary with led, directed, oversaw, coordinated.

Strong ≠ exaggerated

“Spearheaded” is overkill for a small task. Honest verbs keep interviews comfortable.

Present for now, past for then

Keep your current role in present tense (“Lead”, “Drive”) and finished roles in past (“Led”, “Drove”).
