Resume Anonymizer

Sharing a resume publicly (forums, feedback groups, portfolio) means sharing your private details. This tool scans and redacts emails, phones, addresses and links before you post.

How to use the Anonymizer

Paste the version you plan to share

Use this before posting to Reddit, LinkedIn groups, feedback forums, or sending a blind preview.

Review what gets flagged

Emails, phone numbers, URLs and ID-like patterns become [email], [phone], [url], [id].

Check company-specific details too

The tool can’t know your employer’s name or project codes — redact those yourself if you need to stay anonymous.

Copy or download the safe version

Share the redacted text, keep the original private.

Public posts are permanent

Once a resume is online with your phone number, it can be copied forever. Anonymize before posting.

Watch your PDF metadata

PDFs can embed your name and software info in properties. Use “Save as a copy” and strip metadata.

Use a shareable version anyway

For forums, consider removing company names and specific locations too — keep only the experience pattern.
