How to use the Plain Text Converter
Copy from your PDF, Word file or any portal. The converter handles bullet symbols, tabs and double spaces.
Every bullet becomes “* ”; sections stay separated by blank lines; stray symbols are cleaned.
Most application forms want pasted text. Use “Copy text” and paste straight in.
Some systems accept .txt files. Download and attach when a portal allows it.
Use CAPS for section titles
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS — capitals survive any parser and read clearly to humans.
Keep the font simple in the original
The cleaner your source, the cleaner the text. Standard fonts convert best.
Always proofread the pasted version
Portals sometimes mangle bullets. Read the final pasted text once before submitting.
