How to use the Skills Suggester
Pick the family closest to the role
If the job blends two families (e.g. marketing analytics), combine both lists.
Keep only what you truly know
Every skill you list is fair game in the interview. Cut anything you couldn’t demo tomorrow.
Cross-check with the job ad
Add the exact skill names the ad uses — phrasing matters to keyword matching.
Place them right
Hard skills on a dedicated line; soft skills woven into summary and experience bullets.
5–10 hard skills is plenty
A wall of 25 skills reads as keyword-stuffing. Keep the list tight and role-specific.
Level them if needed
“Advanced: Python · SQL” is clearer than a bare list and invites the right questions.
Match the ad’s order
Put the ad’s must-haves first in your list — the first 3–4 items are what humans remember.
