How to use the Summary Writer

Name the target role

Summaries written for “the role I want” outperform generic ones. Copy the exact title from the job ad.

List evidence, not adjectives

“Python & SQL, Tableau dashboards” beats “detail-oriented”. Strengths become the second line.

Pick the variant that fits

Confident for senior roles, Concise for high-volume applications, Professional as the safe default.

Paste under your name

Drop it into the Resume Builder’s summary field and keep it to 2–3 lines.

Lead with the headline

First sentence = role + years + core strength. The achievement goes in sentence two or three.

Drop the objective

“Seeking a challenging position” is filler. A summary tells them what you deliver, not what you want.

Tailor per job

Swap the strengths and achievement to mirror each job description. It takes 2 minutes and visibly lifts match scores.
